Open hearts

Here in Molise this morning the sun is shining, and the sky is blue.
It might be shinning in your part of the world too, but here once again as I look out of the window over my balcony my heart lifts up and soars across the valley, just like the fork-tailed kite flying over the field in front of me.

But today it is not just the sunshine that has brightened my day but the people. I moved to Lucito last July and have been blown away by the incredible generosity of everyone here.
Almost as soon as I arrived my neighbour and her husband greeted me with smiles welcoming me and offering their help if I needed it.

Then over the summer, I had frequent invitations to eat with them in their summer house only a short distance along the track from here.

There many occasions when I drank a little too much wine, but in such good company it was so wonderful to sit and talk, with a group of people of all ages and backgrounds.

They have continued to help me over the months that have followed with all kinds of things from helping me find a Commercialista ,,, ?? He is a sort of business advisor. You really can't do without one in Italy as the legislation is very complicated.Image result for italian legal documents

On numerous occasions too I have eaten with them and it has been so reassuring just to know they are there if I need anything.

There are many other people too who have helped me so much in so many ways......
A local woman from Rome who has helped me set up some children's workshops, and we are still collaborating to find a way to help some of the immigrants here ..In light of Brexit.. it won't be long before the Brits are "extracommunita" too !

La Zippi Bookshop in Campobasso,https://zippilibriperbambini.wordpress.com/tag/libreria-zippi/ where I ran some workshops before Christmas... a beautiful space and once again, the lady who runs it is kind and generous. She has an amazing selection of books too but sadly not enough customers...la scuderia del peschio
I will hopefully be going back there...

Angela,  a psychologist, and her daughter Chiara who are both are trying to set up projects locally.
I  am hoping to work with Chiara to set up a children's summer camp.Image result for children playing games outside
My other neighbours too who live just below me in a  farmhouse have been amazing. They helped us drag our caravan up the hill when we arrived with it in August. Much to my partner T's annoyance, we could not get it up our rather rough track.

A lot more people too who I will mention in time in other blogs but today I just wanted to tell you about Rosario and Roberto who run a local Riding school..
La Scuderie del Peschio...www.lescuderiedelpeschio.com

They are beautiful hospitable people and have a great set up tucked away in the woods behind a little village called San Guiliano del Sannio.
They also run riding holidays so if you are interested to find out more about what they  do nlet me know..

A BIG BIG THANK YOU TO MOLISE
